Disney’s new animated film (musical) “Frozen” will air in the cinemas in 3D in November 27, 2013  and on December 6, 2013 in the UK

Here is the FULL UK trailer for Frozen (video below)…

Walt Disney Animation Studios, the creators of “Tangled” and “Wreck-It Ralph,” have now released the trailer for their upcoming 3D animated film, “Frozen,” an outstanding big-screen comedy adventure.

“Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.” Source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Jw-AeaU5WI

Chris Buck is the director, he also directed “Tarzan” and “Surf’s Up”. Jennifer Lee is the screenwriter, also screenwriter for “Wreck-It Ralph” and the producer is Peter Del Vecho of “Winnie the Pooh” and “The Princess and the Frog” fame 🙂

Den of Geek did an interview with the Disney’s producer, Peter Del Vecho about the animation effects of the film.

Del Vecho stated that,

“You know, I’m really proud of the animation. I think that one of the things we pride ourselves on is being able to push CG facial animation in humans, and to me this film is taking it to another level. Right now, I can’t conceive of the film in any other medium than CG. It’s what I’ve lived and breathed with on this, certainly the scope and scale with the big mountains and the vistas. CG is the right medium, but also cinemascope, and 3D. All of it feels right for this project.”

He was particularly pleased with what the animation team did with eyes, as seen in his following remarks…

“It’s interesting because in the animation room we always say look at the eyes. If you don’t believe the eyes, you won’t believe what they’re thinking and saying. Then you won’t improve the scene. We’re very hard on ourselves, but it all starts with us. First look at the eyes: if they’re believable, then we can do everything else.”
