Black Magic Woman | Artist Profile: RGUS

I’ve known Deane a.k.a. RGUS for many years and he’s always intrigued me with his bold Poser renders.

The main thing that distinguishes his art from others, is his ability to mix captivating outfits with great poses. Deane relies on smooth Poser IBL lighting, which makes shapes, colors and poses stand out in his work. Without using strong shadows, the focus of the beholder shifts to the overall framing of the image, which is an art form in it self.

He also carefully makes sure, that everything co-works in the image, and nothing is left for chance. Taking a look at “Black Magic Woman”, he placed the upper body of the lady right in front of an elliptical shape in the background, making that part of the image more dominant. Deane also mostly works with female characters, which have become his “signature”.

I have enjoyed every image that RGUS has submitted at Renderosity. In my opinion his consistently stunning images are among the best of the artists who display their artwork in the galleries. Your summary and description of his work is so accurate and certainly helps to understand why each of his images is masterful and highly appealing.. . . . .
