Sure, you can create your own textures, but there are so many cool sites that offer cool textures for 3D work.

Here is a list of 9 sites that have thousands of high resolution textures for your 3D work that you can select from!

1. Texturemate

Bill Scott, electrical engineer, graphic designer and web designer shares stock photos, textures, brushes and other amazing resources that he creates at Texturemate

2. Arroway Texture Although this company charges a fee to download, they have a cool policy whereby you are allowed to download low res examples for personal use. Arroway Textures , they manufacture digital textures in various fields with emphasis on architecture and interior design.

3. Texturer

This is an excellent resource for designers, 3D artists, animators and web designers alike. Texturer has a great selection of high res textures.

4. CG Textures

If you want a wide range of textures, a-z: from animals to X-Rays, CG Textures features a wide range of textures for 3D work that you can download, but you will need to register an account.

5. Marlin Studios

Marlin Studios supplies low poly 3D models and textures for computer graphics enthusiasts, and they have
been doing this for the last 15 years. Check out their site’s samples page for freebies from their texture packs.

6. TexturePortal

Texture Portal  has a huge library of high resolution textures for 3D. This makes it a great place to go for “game development, 3D

Mayang’s Free Textures features large quantities of free to download high res textures for 3D projects.
