3D Character Creation Magic
In many places on the Web I find they are still talking about letters and font after I type in the words character creation. Of course I am more interested in character generation as in modeling and rigging. Here are a few sites that may be of interest to those seeking an easy way to create the person or creature they have bouncing around in their head.

This software is said to massively reduce the time you need to create face, hair, clothes that are ready for animation. You can download rigged 3D characters after selecting from around 100 body types, outfits and hairstyles. Although this is billed as a free service, some features can only be accessed with Autodesk Cloud Credits. For example, you can use the service for free but you will need Cloud credits or need to pay to download your creation.

Not that you may need to open a subscription to take full advantage of all that Autodesk has to offer.
The characters you create can be used in the game engine Unity and in other Autodesk packages such as Maya, Maya Lt and 3ds Max as FBX or Maya file formats. You can also blend between two source characters.
Students and Educators can use Autodesk character generator for free.
