Usual story, while I was looking for something else I came across the following article by Margaret Rhodes on Wired. She was writing about a new video put out by a British band Duologue’s for their song Memex
Pictured above, is one of the stills.
Rhodes writes that those behind the video, the London-based studio Marshmallow Laser Feast, used 95 cameras to capture this detailed effect found in their human skin as landscape creation.
Here is a short video about it on YouTube, the tune is not bad either! …

As usual here we are as interested in the creative minds behind the art. So skipping over to the Marshmallow Laser Feast (http://marshmallowlaserfeast.com/), we are treated to lots of flashing screen, but you need to email them for more information.
So, on Vimeo we find that, “MLF work at the intersection of art and cutting-edge technology employing a wealth of creative disciplines, from photo-real virtual reality to robotic performance and real-time mapping”.
There is a good description on the concept behind the video on creativeapplications.net, where
Filip Visnjic writes, “This video by Marshmallow Laser Feast and Analog is a study of mortality that explores photogrammetry techniques, capturing the real-life model using 94 Digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) cameras and creating photo-realistic renderings in 3d.”
On Google + MLF recognizes the work of both Analog Studio and FBFX for their work on the project.
On the FBFX website they write: “
“We were tasked with providing incredibly high resolution 3D body and head scans. This included capturing expressive action poses where the model was moving and highly detailed scans of areas of the body such as the hands and legs.”

Now, I need to say that this post was supposed to be about new stuff happening over at Photoshop, so this will be for next time.
